StandardMake the Change can't be Easier

One of the benefits of LEDs is that they last so long that they can be built right into the fixtures or even the fabric of the building. But people own lamps already, and LED technology would not ask consumers to change their form of power, their light socket or replace the lampshade attached to the bulb.

You will find LED bulbs for the most common standard sockets. They can operate directly to the main voltage (120v or 230/240v), and they will be a direct replacement of your current bulbs.

Other variations operate under low voltage, most often 12v. They can be used directly in low voltage sources like cars. For higher voltages, like home electricity they require a transformer. Usually require DC voltage, and will require a rectifier in the unit if AC (home electricity) is to be used. Most devices have this transformers and rectifiers built in, so usually we don't have to care about this, unless you are building a gadget, but if so, probably you already know this.

Energy EfficientEfficient Lighting

These smart bulbs cost slightly more than an average light bulb, but save you more in the long term.

As an example, 5 Watt LED Light provides the same level of light output as a 60 Watt incandescent light bulb. LED lighting provides efficiency and enables consumers to save hundreds of dollars over the life of the light, without compromising beauty or the environment.

LED lights use 85% less energy than incandescent lights, and 50% less than a CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamp). Based on the rates of a standard UK Electricity provider (Tariff: Premier Plus online, London, last checked: 10th Sept 2009), we'll pay 11.252 pence per kilowatt/hour, so running a 60 watt incandescent bulb for 50,000 hours would cost us £337.56, whilst using a 5 watt LCD bulb would be about £28.13, and offering the same level of light output. In addition, you will no longer spend time and money replacing lights.

Another point of efficiency is that it is faster. Unlike CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamp) it needs no warm up time, even in the coldest temperature

Eco-FriendlyThis Light Is "Green"

You don't need to choose ever again between inefficient incandescents and fluorescents that contain mercury. LED lighting is safe, environmentally friendly and contains no toxic mercury.

It is easier to be green. LED lights use 85% less energy than conventional incandescent bulbs and less than 50% of CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamps). Lower energy output means fewer greenhouse gas emissions being released into our environment.

Also, because each LED light can often last more than 20 years (50.000 hours), there is less landfill waste from burned-out incandescent bulbs and no dangerous mercury waste from fluorescents.

Long-LastingBulbs for life

Install a light when your son is born, and don't replace it until he graduates from college

Depending on the manufacturer, LED lights can last between 15 and 35 years, being the average about 20 years or 50,000 hours, under normal use. That makes life easier, especially in hard-to-reach fixtures.

Compared with a typical incandescent bulb, it is 50 times its life, and 5 times the lifetime of an average CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamp). In fact, if you ran one LED lamp for 6 hours per day every day, it would last for about 23 years.

Incandescent bulb: 1,000 hours. Compact fluorescent lamp: 10,000 hours. LED bulb: 50,000

For sure you have at least one bulb difficult to reach and needs a ladder to replace it. Fifty times longer life than incandescent bulbs means 50 fewer chances to fall off. It means reducing the time or money spent maintaining your home or business.

And when you do change your lights, it will be easy, because they use standard sockets.

SaferLED is Cool!

Unlike incandescent bulbs, LED bulbs are cool to the touch, and it reduces the burden and cost of the air conditioning system. Incandescent bulbs can create potentially damaging heat, and can cause fires when accidentally coming in contact with other objects.

Also, it doesn't produce any ultraviolet light (UV) and will not cause fading or ageing of artwork or other sensitive materials

BeautifulColour Quality to Your Taste

LED lights do look more natural than CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamp). LED lights have a higher colour rendering, so everything under them looks more vibrant and lifelike.

Choose warm or cool lighting. Warm light is preferred for living spaces because it is more flattering to skin tones and clothing. Cool light is preferred for visual tasks because it produces higher contrast than warm light, so it creates effective work environment or brings a contemporary look to a home.

In addition, LED light bulbs come in all kinds of colours: red, green, blue, yellow, and even colour changing bulbs!

No matter if is for your home, garden or office, there are LED bulbs suitable for every environment.

Don't be outdated

The governments are moving towards this technology, The European Union and US, ban the manufacture and import of 100 watt and frosted incandescent light bulbs. The ban will be extended to all incandescent bulbs by 2012.

The Energy Saving Trust said energy-saving bulbs could also cut the average UK household's annual energy bill by up to £37 and save 135kg of CO2 each year.
